Pente Vuna is a premium sub-brand by Mala’s, created to offer an elevated range of mocktail syrups and ready-to-drink beverages.

While Mala’s is widely trusted for its fruit-based products and strong presence across retail and HoReCa, Pente Vuna was envisioned as a distinct expression of heritage and sophistication.

Drawing from Mala’s rich legacy dating back to 1958, the brand translates tradition into a contemporary premium identity designed specifically for modern bar counters and refined beverage experiences.

Design a premium syrup bottle that balances visual elegance with usability, while creating a scalable form language across multiple flavours. The goal was to move beyond generic bottle formats and build a distinctive identity through form, not just graphics that stands out on the shelves.

This project was personally the most exciting for me. From initial ideation, the exploration of aspect ratios and proportions to achieve the desired aesthetics, while ensuring balance and ergonomics were addressed, constituted a challenging yet rewarding experience.

This bottle design reimagines Mala’s syrup packaging as a refined balance between elegance, functionality, and brand consistency. Moving beyond conventional formats, the form is driven by a tall, slender proportion that enhances shelf visibility while maintaining a stable, grounded presence through a subtly weighted base.

Designed as a scalable system, the form adapts seamlessly across multiple flavours, using color and graphics as differentiators while retaining a consistent identity. The result is a packaging solution that elevates Mala’s presence which is premium in perception, purposeful in use, and instantly recognizable across its range.
